Home inspections in Moore County, NC
Moore County is home base. We live and work here, and most of our inspections are within a short drive of Whispering Pines.
The county runs from the golf towns of Pinehurst and Southern Pines out to the farms and lake communities around Carthage, Seven Lakes and Robbins. The housing is just as varied: village cottages, golf-course homes, horse properties, lake houses and a steady stream of new construction.
The Sandhills have their own building conditions. Sandy soil drains fast in some places and channels water toward foundations in others, and the humid summers are hard on crawl spaces. Many homes here sit on crawl spaces, so we spend real time under every house.
What we watch for in Moore County
- Crawl space moisture, vapour barriers and insulation
- Grading and gutters that send water back toward the house
- Older systems in village and in-town homes
- Private wells on rural and lake properties
